Terms of service.

These terms govern your use of the Checkrd hosted control plane. The open-source proxy (the WASM core, SDKs, and policy engine) is licensed separately under Apache-2.0; see the LICENSE file in the GitHub repo.

You sign in to your account to access the service. Workspace limits, plan-tier limits, and available features are described on the Pricing page. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API keys secure; Checkrd is not liable for actions taken with valid credentials.

Plan limits, pricing, retention windows, and overage handling are described on the Pricing page. Billing runs through Stripe. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled; you can cancel at any time from the dashboard.

You must not use Checkrd to enforce policies that violate applicable law or the rights of others, attempt to circumvent or disable security controls, probe or load-test the hosted control plane outside the limits described in the documentation, or take any action that endangers the integrity or availability of the service for other customers. We may suspend or terminate workspaces engaged in such activity, with notice where reasonable.

We process operational metadata only. The full breakdown is on the Privacy page. You retain ownership of all telemetry you send. We don’t train models on your telemetry and we don’t sell or share it.

The hosted control plane targets 99.9% monthly availability for /v1/ APIs. Enterprise plans get a contractual SLA; Free and Team are best-effort. Planned maintenance is announced in advance through the dashboard and email.

The hosted service and the open-source proxy are provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Checkrd disclaims all implied warranties (including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement). Aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to defend Checkrd against third-party claims arising from your use of the service in violation of these terms. Checkrd will defend you against third-party IP claims arising from the unmodified hosted service, subject to the cap above.

You can cancel any plan from the dashboard at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account for material breach with reasonable notice. Upon termination we'll delete workspace data within 30 days unless legal hold applies. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (data, warranties, liability, indemnification, governing law) survive.

We may update these terms with 30 days' notice for material changes; non-material changes are effective on posting. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
